Shankar Dutta is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce ( Honours) from the Calcutta University . He has spent 43 years with Price Waterhouse including 3 years of article ship training before retiring as a partner in charge of PWC
Chennai office.

During his tenure with Price Waterhouse, he has provided Audit and Business Advisory Services including Merger & Acquisition, Business Valuation, Internal Audit and Risk Management Services for various MNCs and large Indian Corporates. He has served for four years as a member of the Fee Fixation Committee set up by Tamil Nadu Government for private medical and engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. He also served as a trustee for 15 years in the Bengal Association Trust. He is currently on the Board of one listed company and two unlisted companies.
